OCIA for Teens and Children

Welcome to OCIA for

Teens and Children

Based on OCIA (previously RCIA), OCIA for Teens and Children are specialized classes for teens, 'tweens', and young children developed by the Catholic Church for prospective converts to Catholicism who are above the age of infant baptism. Candidates are gradually introduced to aspects of Catholic beliefs and practices.

  • OCIA for Teens is for children 7th through 11th grade
  • OCIA for Children classes are for children 3rd through 6th grade.

The program is designed to educate teens and younger children in the Catholic Faith and prepare them for the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation. Whether your family is just entering the Church, returning to the practice of the Catholic Faith, or delayed your child’s sacramental preparation, all are welcome.

OCIA for Teens meets once a week on Tuesday evenings for 1 hour in a small group setting. Classes for Fall 2025 begin in late September/early October and run through April.
